Individual therapy
For high-achieving teens and adults who are tired of holding it all together
Is this you?
You are successful by every measure that matters to other people. But inside, your brain will not stop. You replay conversations, second-guess decisions, and carry a constant hum of stress that follows you from work to home and back again. You have trouble sleeping, trouble relaxing, and trouble turning off the mental to-do list even when there is nothing left to do. People tell you that you seem like you have it all together. You know that is not the full story.
If this sounds familiar, individual therapy at Ola Wellness is designed specifically for you.
What we work on together
anxiety and overthinking
Racing thoughts, constant worry, difficulty making decisions without spiraling, and the feeling that your mind never fully shuts off. We work on understanding your thought patterns and building practical strategies to slow them down so you can think clearly and act with confidence.
Individual therapy at Ola Wellness focuses on the challenges that high-achieving teens and adults face but rarely talk about:
burnout and exhaustion
The pressure to perform at a high level at work, at home, and in your relationships can leave you feeling stretched thin and running on empty. We focus on restoring your energy, setting boundaries that stick, and helping you let go of the guilt that comes with prioritizing yourself.
life transitions
A new job, a move, a breakup, the transition from high school to college, becoming a parent, or any major change that shifts your identity and routine. These transitions can trigger anxiety and self-doubt even when the change is something you wanted. We help you navigate them with clarity and confidence.
depression and low motivation
Sometimes depression does not look like sadness. For high-functioning people, it can look like going through the motions, losing interest in things you used to enjoy, or feeling numb even when life looks good on paper. We work on reconnecting you with what matters and building momentum toward feeling like yourself again.
perfectionism and people-pleasing
The need to get everything right, the difficulty saying no, and the fear that if you slow down everything will fall apart. We work on building a healthier relationship with your own expectations so you can achieve without the constant internal pressure.
Our approach
We use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and positive psychology to create a treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. In plain terms, that means we identify the thought patterns and habits keeping you stuck, and we replace them with ones that actually work for your life.
This is not open-ended venting. Expect honest feedback, practical tools you can use between sessions, and a clear sense of what we are working toward. Our goal is not to keep you in therapy forever. Our goal is to help you feel noticeably different in your daily life.
What to expect
Your first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. We talk about what is going on in your life right now, what patterns you have noticed, and what you want to feel differently. There is no pressure to share everything at once. By the end, you will have a clear sense of how we would work together and whether it feels like the right fit.
All sessions are conducted via secure telehealth video and are available to anyone in New Jersey or New York. We offer evening and weekend appointments to fit your schedule.
