Couples therapy

Rebuild connection, improve communication, and work through the issues that keep coming up

When your relationship needs attention

You used to feel like a team. Lately, it feels like you are two people living parallel lives, having the same arguments on repeat, or tiptoeing around topics you are afraid to bring up. Maybe one of you feels unheard. Maybe both of you do. The love is still there, but the way you communicate has stopped working.

Couples therapy at Ola Wellness helps you and your partner get to the root of what is causing disconnection and gives you the tools to rebuild a relationship that feels supportive, honest, and strong.

What couples therapy can help with

  • Communication breakdowns where conversations quickly turn into arguments.

  • Feeling emotionally disconnected or distant from your partner.

  • Navigating a major life change together such as a move, career shift, new baby, or loss.

  • Rebuilding trust after a betrayal or painful event.

  • Disagreements about parenting, finances, or priorities.

  • One partner carrying more of the emotional or logistical load.

  • Feeling like roommates rather than partners.

Our approach

We use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and structural techniques to help you understand the patterns in your relationship and change the ones that are not working. We focus on giving you practical communication tools you can use in real time, not just during sessions.

Couples therapy is not about taking sides. Our role is to help both partners feel heard, identify what each person needs, and work together toward a relationship that feels balanced and fulfilling.

What to expect

In the first session, we will hear from both of you about what brought you to therapy and what you each hope to get out of it. We will ask about your relationship history, communication patterns, and current challenges. This session sets the foundation for the work ahead.

Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes and conducted via secure telehealth video. Both partners can join from the same device or from separate locations.

Your Relationship Is Worth Investing In

If you have been thinking about couples therapy but are not sure if it is the right time, it probably is. A free consultation is a low-pressure way to talk about what you are experiencing and explore whether working with us is a good fit.
